MACrO2

What is MACrO2?

MACrO2 is a clinical research study for people with Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) lung disease. The study is researching epetraborole, which may be able to help fight the bacteria that cause MAC lung disease.

What will happen during the study?

Study participation lasts between 6 to 18 months. If you join the study, you will be asked to do the following:

1.) Continue to take prescribed medication(s) for MAC lung disease

2.) Take 2 tablets of epetraborole (the study medication) or a placebo (contains no active ingredients) once per day

3.) Answer questionnaires in the study app

4.) Visit the study site every 1 to 3 months to have study health assessments, including urine, blood, and sputum samples
